Privacy
Privacy for a static lookup site.
FaultCodeLab is currently a static reference site. It does not use accounts, payments, contact forms, stored search submissions, or production analytics beacons.
What the site collects
- No account profile is created.
- No payment information is collected.
- No contact form message is stored by this site.
- Search, model-number, filter, and service-prep fields run in the browser and are not sent to a FaultCodeLab database in the current version.
Hosting and logs
Hosting and network providers may process standard technical request data needed to deliver the site, such as IP address, user agent, URL, timestamp, and security events. FaultCodeLab should not add analytics or stored coverage requests until the privacy plan is updated.
If analytics are added later
The roadmap allows privacy-friendly aggregate analytics only after the public domain, analytics mode, and privacy copy are approved. Raw model numbers, contact details, repair notes, addresses, and serial numbers should not be stored for analytics.
